I remember interviewing Saud on TG Talks Media, India's biggest fitness interview platform, where he shared how his professional athletic career helped him become a successful bodybuilder.

Saud - How bodybuilding started
Saud didn't know that he would ever become a bodybuilder. But one day, while practicing for his 400-meter sprint, he pulled his hamstring muscle. His doctors advised him to rest for a few weeks, but he could train the upper body in the gym.
He had a typical body structure, an athlete, slim, low body fat, and extremely agile. When he entered the gym, people thought of him as a professional fitness model. No one knew that he had never done any strength training before.

Found his coach
While he was asking some trainers, in the gym to help him with exercise, Anirudh Tanwar, spotted him. Anirudh is a professional bodybuilding coach, with a knack to identify new talent.
Anirudh approached Saud and asked him about his background and found out that he was born in France. His genetics were apt for bodybuilding. Anirudh was hell-bent that Saud should seriously consider playing a bodybuilding competition.
Anirudh even took it upon himself to make him a champion bodybuilder. And with so much conviction from Anirudh, Saud had to agree.
Anirudh knew that Saud had good genetics, and all he had to do was to put him on a good training plan, and the rest will happen on its own.
And he was right in his thinking. Saud, in his first month, started showing vast improvements in his body. And this was the time when Anirudh tweaked his diet plan.
Anirudh put Saud on a high protein diet with moderate carbs to help him pack on new muscle mass. And the results were shocking. Saud had put eight kgs of muscle mass in three months.
That's called the genetic potential!
Someone puts in months to acquire new muscle mass and never succeeds, whereas athletes like Saud takes only weeks to pack on muscles.
Anirudh turned out to be a real deal for Saud. He not only trained him but also prepared him for a national level bodybuilding competition.
Saud's first bodybuilding competition was nerve-racking for him. He didn't know he was ready to be on that stage. But Anirudh had prepared him well enough from conditioning to his posing routine; he was all set.
And when he won the silver medal in his very first bodybuilding competition, he fell in love with bodybuilding and competing.
The high of being on that stage and posing, made him train even harder. It was that one medal, which completely changed his direction and made him a pro bodybuilder.
Saud is India's top pro bodybuilder with more than 50 medals under his name, both national and international. He is now preparing to earn his pro card to represent India at the prestigious Mr.Olympia stage.
A coach makes a huge difference.
Imagine, if Anirudh had not met Saud, he would have never realized his bodybuilding potential. A good coach can not only change you as a person but also puts you on a track you never thought you would tread.
A good coach or in India, we call a Guru, can mold and make you a better athlete. And I forgot to mention, good coaches are hard to come by, but when you find one, hold on to them.
